About the Author:

Vince is the founder of the Institute of Configuration Management (ICM) and Director of the university-sponsored CMII certification program — which had its 20th anniversary as this 2nd edition went to press in November, 2006. A growing number of industrial firms and government agencies around the world have adopted CMII as an internal standard.

About the CMII Research Institute:

In 2006, Vince formed the CMII Research Institute and transferred the ownership of ICM to its employees. The CMII Research Institute now provides oversight of the CMII training and certification program and coordinates the establishment of training partners in other countries. The CMII Research Institute is responsible for ongoing enhancements to the course materials and coordinating needed improvements in enabling software tools with their developers.
