1970's - reengineered the CM process

1981 - began teaching the new principles

1982 - expanded the courseware

1984 - Formed ICM

1984 - San Diego State U. became sponsor

1986 - initiated 6-course certification series

1987 - 1st certifications were awarded

1988 - renamed CM process as CMII

1989 - Arizona State U. became the sponsor

1991 - moved headquarters to Scottsdale

1991 - ICM setup as Arizona Corporation

1992 - expand courses to UK & Canada

1993 - U. of Tennessee became a co-sponsor

1993 - 500th CMII certification

1994 - 3 full and 4 part time instructors

1996 - initiated icmhq.com web site

1996 - 1000th CMII certification

1997 - 1st aerospace firm adopted CMII

1998 - 1st automotive firm adopted CMII

1998 - 1st telecom. firm adopted CMII

1998 - 20+ CMII-user groups worldwide

1998 - CMII trainer (GfKM) in Germany

1999 - 2500th CMII certification

2000 - 1st tool certified as CMII-compliant

2000 - new ICM logo with two columns

2001 - 1st software developer adopted CMII

2001 - 3500th CMII certification

2002 - CMII book published

2003 - 8th white paper on CMII published

2004 - Trainer (ConfigOnline) in S. Africa

2004 - Enhance emphasis on O&M and IT

2005 - 600 organizations have CMII grads

2005 - CMII grads in 30+ countries

2005 - CMII book orders from 40 countries

2005 - CMII trainer (MSXI) in Australia

2006 - formed the CMII Research Institute

2006 - first CMII Professional certifications

2006 - 1st CMII conference in South Africa

2006 - published 2nd edition of CMII book

2007 - New course on Export Controls

2007 - GfKM & Airbus host Hamburg conference

2007 - 20th Annual CMII Conference in the USA
