BPR And Cowpaths

It is time to stop paving cowpaths.

TQM is to improve something that is O.K. BPR is to take something irrelevant and start over.

Delivery systems are made up of closed-loop, value-adding business processes. What is a closed-loop process? How much value is being added by each closed-loop process?

How To Compete And Stay In Business

Do more right things. Do right things better.

(1) Define the customers needs.
(2) Define products and/or services which will fulfill those needs with pricing as required to be competitive and meet profit objectives.
(3) Develop systems which will deliver those
products/services in a cost effective manner.
(4) Continuously improve to stay in business.

Prerequisites: Clear, concise and valid requirements and ability to accommodate change.
