A Purely Pragmatic Perspective on CMII

CMII Concepts and Principles

The concepts and principles of CMII must be transposed into a management system that delivers value on time, within a continuously decreasing budget and increasing quality.

It must be capable of delivering the goals and objectives of its champions, be they a board of directors, CEO's, executive directors or chief engineers.

CMII is a tool in the hands of its users and must be intuitively and instinctively understood to ensure that it delivers results.

Implementation and Execution

Once understood, it must be used. Management guru's explain what has to be done, CMII goes beyond the what and explains the how. It was never designed to be talked about, only to be used and to be continuously developed to serve the needs of the organisation. Authorised and continuous change by motivated people in the industrial trenches is the only valid option.

To Truly Understand It

To truly understand it is to know that it can be customized to suit any organisation that has requirements placed upon it and data flowing through it. What CMII Is And Is Not

CMII is an inspirational feeling in the gut. It is an aggressive attitude of mind. It is definitely not for the faint hearted, and it most certainly is not an academic exercise.Must Remain Pragmatic

It can deliver measurable results quickly but it gets better over time. If only talked about, it becomes an academic curiosity. If skillfully practiced, it is both effective and a source of professional satisfaction. CMII should not be a big deal. It must remain pragmatic in order to satisfy the bottom line.

Stop Talking; Start Doing

CMII is the only holistic management discipline that is capable of consistent and improving performance. It is the essence of Taylor, Shewart, Juran and Deming. At some point, however, the talking has to stop and the doing has to start.

Satisfied Customers

CMII must be demonstrably effective and consequently endorsed by some very satisfied users. This, in turn, requires effective implementation and impressive, documented results. The reputation of CMII must not forever rely on CM organisations and workshops. There must be visible and enthusiastic endorsement by satisfied customers. Reputation must be by achievement, not random noise.

Practical Implementation Is The Key

We believe that the CMII concepts and principles are sound. Our purpose is to demonstrate the value of CMII through practical implementation and measured results, whilst facilitating CMII understanding through training and learning by doing.
